Enjoy a classic movie in the historic surroundings of the Queensborough Community Centre, the village's former one-room schoolhouse.

We have forgotten that watching movies was originally a social event. Our Movie Nights are a way to bring our community together, joined by friends from other nearby communities, for a fun, affordable evening of entertainment, culture, and shared times! Few things are as good for the soul as communal laughter and good cheer!

Movies are shown the second Saturday of each month. Screenings start at 6:30pm. Arrive any time after 6 p.m. to find your seat and get refreshments. Guests can bring their own snacks and drinks. Fresh popcorn, water, and soft drinks are available at old-time prices.

Movies are projected in 4K on a large screen, so they looks great!

Location

The Queensborough Community Centre is located at 1853 Queensborough Rd., in - you guessed it - Queensborough, ON. We are north-east of Hwy 7 and Hwy 62.

Admission Cost

Building Community Through Classic Movies - that's our motto. That's why there is no charge to attend a Queensborough Movie Nights screening! You can watch a movie — and a bona fide classic at that! — in beautiful Queensborough without worrying about the cost!

All we ask is that, if you enjoyed the show, please leave what you wish in the donation box as you exit so we can continue to have our movie nights! Donations pay the licensing fees to legally show films in public, and to fund operations costs.

We are always looking for volunteers!

Are you looking to complete your high school volunteer hours? Looking to get more involved in your community and meet new people? We are always looking for help with movie nights. From setting up equipment, to putting out chairs, to making popcorn, there is always lots to be done. Send us an email at info@queensboroughmovienights.ca or reach out to any member of the Queensborough Community Centre committee to find out more!

Cellphones

Cellphone use can be a great annoyance to members of an audience enjoying a movie. If you must bring it, turn it off. If you cannot turn it off, put it on vibrate. Please, we implore you, no cellphone use during the screening — the screening may be stopped while you are publicly shamed. And yes, it has happened...
